Students who have attained junior or higher standing in their
secondary schools may apply for enrollment in suitable courses
offered at the University. Admission to the joint enrollment program
will depend upon an assessment by appropriate personnel of the
student’s secondary school and by Oglethorpe admission personnel.
In general, the candidate must have the social maturity to benefit
from a collegiate experience and possess a "B" or higher grade-point
average along with a combined score of 1140 or higher on the
Scholastic Assessment Test or its equivalent. A student seeking
admission should write or call the Joint Enrollment Counselor in the
Admission Office at Oglethorpe to receive an
application. Normally no more than five courses may be taken as a
joint enrollment student.
