• Oglethorpe's Theater Department presents David Auburn's play Proof, February 5, 6 and 7 at 8 p.m.
• Alan Loehle's art receives several glowing reviews in both local and international press. See Professor Loehle's News page for details.
• Devon Belcher, of the Philosophy Department, is attending the South Carolina Philosophy conference to deliver a paper on "Thick words and Thin words". (February 27 - 28, at Winthrop University, Rock Hill, South Carolina)
• Simon Sparks, of the Philosophy Department, is publishing a paper entitled 'Phenomenologies of Experience in Heidegger and Benjamin' in a forthcoming anthology on Heidegger and Benjamin.
• OU students Livia Balaban, Alison Kearley, Luvaire Murrell, Daniel Lukacs and Chris Zieman are organizing and participating in a round table discussion on free will for the Oglethorpe Liberal Arts Symposium on April 14.
• The OU Music department starts up the Oglethorpe Winds, an open brass-woodwind-percussion ensemble.
