Instructions on Accessing Live@EDU
Please print these instructions for review during the process.
If your Oglethorpe ID was created after April 20th, 2011 your email is on Live@EDU. Students who had their ID issued before that time will be migrated over to Live@EDU during the summer of 2011.
Before accessing your email for the first time you must reset your Oglethorpe password. Even if you have done this in the past you must do so again before accessing your Live@EDU account. To reset your password please go to the OASIS website: https://oasis.oglethorpe.edu/.
Log in to OASIS with your current username and password.
Now click on the "Change Password" option.
Enter your username and current password. Then create a new password of your choice. Please be sure that your new password has between six (6) and nine (9) characters and has at least one number and at least one alphanumeric.
If you are logged into a computer on campus, such as in the computer lab or Library, you should log off the computer and log back on with your new password. Please note that the new password will be used when logging on to campus computers, OASIS, MOODLE and Email. We’ve made it so that there’s only one username and password to manage.
Now you can log on to your new Live@EDU account. Go to http://www.outlook.com/oglethorpe
Your Oglethorpe email address is your Windows Live ID. To log on, please enter your Oglethorpe email address in the Windows Live ID field, and then enter your password (this is the new password you created in OASIS).
5. The first time you log in you will be asked to give your birth year and agree to Microsoft Terms Of Service. If you receive a "Temporary Problem" error please see this video.
You are now ready to use your new email and other features provided through your Live@EDU account.
