| Students are presented with numerous opportunities to get involved in the OU Theatre department. Not only does the department itself run a full season of five shows per academic year, but various student-led organizations allow students to experience a whole new level of theatre, providing students with multiple opportunities to direct and produce shows and to gain experience with technical aspects of theatre such as lighting and sound design.
From the Theatre department and directing classes to the student-led groups Rehearsal Room C and Alpha Psi Omega (national theatre honorary), Oglethorpe students have many opportunities throughout the year to perform, direct, design, build, and more.
