On behalf of the Central Florida Sports Commission and Oglethorpe
University, we are pleased to have your team participating in the
NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Fall Preview, held at the Mission Inn
Golf & Tennis Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
The tournament will be played as a 36-hole event, 18 holes on
Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday, with the practice round being
on Friday prior to competition play.
Tournament competition will take place on Mission Inn’s El
Campeon course, which will serve host to the 2006 NCAA Division III
Women’s Golf Championships this coming May. Mission Inn offers a
variety of recreational activities along with its award winning
accommodations all tucked away on over 640 acres of rolling hills.
A pre-tournament registration will take place in the hotel lobby,
Thursday, October 27th from 7pm – 9pm and at the Main Clubhouse on
Friday, October 28th from 8am – 10am. We will be collecting your
team’s final line-up along with any registration monies that have
not been collected.
Each team will be provided a golf cart for use by the designated
coach and range balls are included in the entry fee. The entry
fee also includes three hotel rooms for three nights and a
complimentary continental breakfast at the Mission Inn Resort. Awards will be provided for the 1st and 2nd place teams
and individual medals will also be given to the 1st - 5th place
individuals competing in the tournament.
