O.U. Freshmen lead the nation in total short game

Freshman standout Paige McCollum of Toccoa, GA  leads the nation in total short game at .492. Paige gets the ball up and down from around the green and in the greenside bunkers nearly fifty percent of the time.

Paige is percentage points ahead of fellow SCAC golfer Sarah Gates from DePauw University. Following closely behind Paige is another Oglethorpe freshman, Carrie Shirah of Trussville, AL, who is 4th nationally at .437. McCollum and Sophomore Julia Gates are 4th and 8th nationally on putts on greens hit in regulation, McCollum at an even 2.000 and Gates at 2.038.

 Jessi Bonham leads the nation in fairways hit at .798. The sophomore from Greensboro, NC holds the individual lead and the team is currently fourth nationally in fairways hit.
