Awards:

  • Received the 2017 Vulcan Materials Company Teaching Excellence Award. He was recognized at Oglethorpe University’s commencement ceremony on May 13 by the previous recipient, Dr. Jay Lutz. Established in 1991, the Vulcan Teaching Excellence Awards annually honor an outstanding professor on selected member campuses of the Georgia Independent College Association. The award is presented to a member of the faculty in recognition of excellence in teaching, commitment to student success, and leadership to enhance campus community.

Community Service:

  • For the fifth year, directed The Spirit of Oakland Halloween Tour that benefits the Oakland Historical Foundation. More than 6,000 people attended the tour. Fall 2017.
