Scholarship Weekend 2017

Scholarship Weekend 2017

Our best students compete for our best scholarships.

RSVPs are closed for this event

Scholarship Weekend at Oglethorpe brings together our best and brightest admitted students. OU offers three categories of full-tuition scholarships. The OU Theatre and Civic Engagement programs take place on Friday, and the James Edward Oglethorpe (JEO) program is held on Saturday. All students who participate will receive a merit award.

Formal invitations will be sent via mail and email.

At Oglethorpe, personal is powerful, and we believe in getting to know each candidate individually. The weekend will include seminars, interviews, presentations, or auditions which, in combination with your academic record of achievement, will help the scholarship committee make nominations for each award. We anticipate an attendance of over 200 students from more than 20 states, so this is a great time for you to meet potential college classmates. Parents or guests are encouraged to accompany their students to Scholarship Weekend; an array of panels and activities are offered for parents while students are in scholarship sessions. All attendees and guests are invited to a VIP Party for the Class of 2021 on Saturday evening, Jan. 28.
