In the event that you haven’t completed something or there is an issue with your record, a hold may be placed on your account that prevents registration. All holds must be removed prior to registration.

You can view any active holds on your account through your online student portal. The hold message will typically explain why you have a hold and direct you to the office or individual that can help you resolve it.

How to View Your Holds Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Login to your OASIS Student Account with your Oglethorpe username and password.
  2. Select “OASIS for Students.”
  3. Select “New! Student Planning – View, Plan and Register” from the right-hand side.
  4. You will be redirected to another page.
  5. Once there, you will have two different ways of viewing your holds.
  6. The first way is to select the icon in the top right corner of the page. If you have any holds, they will appear there.
    • You will see that the hold will tell you what kind of hold it is, if the hold is not straightforward there will be some information about why the hold is on your account, and will provide information regarding who you should contact to resolve the hold.
  7. The second way is to select the house icon from the left-hand side menu. This takes you to the home screen of Self-Services or the new OASIS. There you will see all of the same information described above.
