What is your favorite thing about being an ambassador?
“Being an ambassador is one of my favorite things I do on campus. I have so much love for this school and I love sharing it with others. Similarly, I love getting to know prospective students and helping them along their college process. It is amazing that I have met some students at scholarship weekend or on a tour that now attend Ogle, as we often have remained friends. Many of these students lean on me for advice and support, and I love being that person for them as a previous (now graduated) ambassador was that person for me. Overall, I just really enjoy sharing my experience with others and helping them make the best out of their time at OU (whether that’s only for a weekend or for the next four years!).”
Why did you choose to attend Oglethorpe?
“I knew the moment I stepped on campus for the first time that OU was the place for me. The atmosphere and the people immediately made me feel like I was at home, and that feeling has never gone away. Besides just the immense feeling of acceptance, OU also checked off a lot of my boxes. This included being a small school with small class sizes, and having a lot of extracurricular activities include study abroad and internship opportunities.”

“I love hiking around the lake that sits in the neighborhood right behind campus.”
What advice do you have for prospective students?
“My biggest piece of advice for prospective students is to live in the moment. I know that many people say this is the time to make “big decisions” that will impact your future, but in reality, you have so much time to figure out what you actually want to do. Do not feel like every decision you make right now is the final decision; things can always change, and you have to able to adapt and change with them. Whatever you decide, things will always work out in the end, so do not stress over it now. Focus on what makes you happy!”
What has been your favorite class so far?
“COR 102 with Dr. Wild or Developmental Psychology with Dr. Wise.”
