Hometown: Monroe, Ga

Territory: First-year students from DeKalb and Fulton counties; Achieve Atlanta students

Education: Oglethorpe University

Favorite Place at Oglethorpe: The Conant Veranda is my favorite place on Oglethorpe’s beautiful campus.

Favorite Place in ATL: My favorite place in the Atlanta area would be the Buckhead Theater. Attending concerts is one of my favorite pass times, and the allure of the Buckhead Theater when it is lit up at night surpasses all of the other venues in the area.

Why do you love OU?: I love OU because it is a tucked away gem in the heart of the city. The experience of being on campus provides the intimate and tight knit community of a liberal arts university, with proximity to everything you could possibly want to see, do, and explore just minutes away.

Favorite OU Tradition (Favorite OU Memory): I always enjoyed the entertainment, food, and free t-shirts provided via QuadFest each year. It was always such a nice, fun way to welcome everyone back for the fall semester!

What advice do you have to students?: College is a time that will last forever in your heart, but seem to fly by as you live through it. It is important to take the time before college to find the place that feels like home, and use the time during and after to cultivate the best version of yourself that you can be. At times it may feel like things are moving a million miles an hour, but know it is perfectly fine to take a moment to regroup as things will always work out as they were intended to.
