Dual Enrollment

The Georgia Dual Enrollment program (formerly Move On When Ready) is open to high school students in the State of Georgia seeking to supplement their high school curriculum by enrolling in college courses that will fulfill high school course requirements and result in college credit. Tuition and fees for Dual Enrollment students are paid by the Georgia Student Finance Commission.

Eligibility and Admission Criteria

  • Be enrolled in an accredited public/private high school or accredited home study program
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Test Scores
  • ACT: 23 Composite (no score less than a 20 in any subsection)
  • SAT: ≥ 1170 Evidence-Based Reading and Writing + Math

Dual Enrollment students should submit the Non-Degree Seeking application, within the application you will be able to select that you are a Dual Enrollment student.

A new application must submit a new application each semester they desire to participate in the Georgia Dual Enrollment program.

Applicants must submit your official high school transcript detailing all work completed. Transcripts can be sent via Parchment, eScrip Safe, GAfutures or mailed to:

Request official score reports from the testing agency be sent to Oglethorpe. Scores must be received by the application deadline.

We will accept unofficial scores if the unofficial score report contains all of the following – your first and last name, test date, and email address or date of birth. An official report must be received prior to the start of class.

Dual Enrollment Participation Agreement

The Dual Enrollment Participation Agreement form is to be completed with a high school counselor and signed by the student, parent or guardian and counselor before returning to the Office of Admission.  It is the responsibility of the high school counselor to enter the approved classes with the GSFC.

Dual Enrollment Home Study Funding and Participation Agreement

The Dual Enrollment Home Study Funding and Participation Agreement form is to be completed with the Home Study official and signed by the student, parent and certifying official before returning it to the Office of Admission.  It is the responsibility of the Office of Admission to send this form to the GSFC.
