Mr. Robert Burchfield is a faculty member in the Hammack School of Business at Oglethorpe University focused on teaching accounting and investments. Mr. Burchfield has over 20 years of experience in senior executive positions in multi-billion-dollar public companies in finance, strategy, and general management. He has consulted for organizations on leadership, strategy, and finance and testified in federal court on financial matters. Mr. Burchfield has served on boards and in advisory positions for emerging growth companies and not-for-profit organizations.
His scholarly interests include valuation, acquisitions, alternative investments, and the practical application of finance to drive company operating results. Mr. Burchfield has a B.B.A. from Roanoke College, an M.B.A. from Virginia Tech, and an M.P.A. from Georgia State University.
