Join us for Alumni Weekend, April 16-17, 2027!
Alumni Weekend is a time for Petrels from every generation to return to campus, reconnect with classmates, and celebrate their Oglethorpe experience. Throughout the weekend, alumni can enjoy class reunions, social gatherings, campus tours, athletic events, ceremonies, and opportunities to engage with fellow alumni, as well as current and former faculty and staff.
Whether you’re catching up with old friends, revisiting your favorite campus spots, or making new connections within the alumni community, Alumni Weekend offers something for everyone. It’s the perfect chance to come home to Oglethorpe and create new memories while honoring old ones.
Alumni Weekend 2027
We’re excited to invite you back to campus for another special weekend!
Oglethorpe’s Alumni Weekend typically takes place on the third weekend in April.
January: Early Bird registration opens.
March: Early Bird registration deadline.
April: Main Registration closes. Preregistration is highly encouraged. You can add additional events on-site.

Signature Events
Alumni Awards and Athletics Hall of Fame Reception and Ceremony
Each year, the Alumni Association honors exceptional members of the Oglethorpe community through the Alumni Awards and the Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony. These distinguished alumni are recognized for their outstanding contributions to their current professions and communities or their athletic achievements during their time at Oglethorpe.
Congratulate Alumni Award winners and Athletic Hall of Fame inductees during a pre-ceremony reception, with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Then, cheer on the recipients during the ceremony and celebrate after, at the dessert reception.

QuadFest Family Picnic
Reconnect back on the academic quad for an afternoon picnic. Fit with lunch, lawn games, music and photos with Petey. This is a family friendly event complete with a bounce house and kids crafts.
All Alumni Celebration and Stomp the Lawn
Alumni from all class years gather to wrap up Alumni Weekend! The night kicks off with a delicious dinner and drinks, followed by our signature “Stomp the Lawn” party featuring a live DJ, dancing and games.
This outdoor event is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with friends, honor our class reunions and Golden Petrels, and celebrate the achievements of our newest Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees and Alumni Award winners.

Be a part of the host committee for your upcoming milestone reunion year! Being a member of the host committee is simple. Host committee members will register early so that their friends see their name on the attending list, attend the event, encourage their friends to attend, and lend their name to our printed material and our website.
