Oglethorpe library expands on free informational resources for community

Oglethorpe’s Philip Weltner Library is a valuable campus resource for students, providing support for academic research and offering a comfortable study space. The library also serves the OU community by offering access to digital subscriptions to The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Kanopy, and the newest addition, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

“The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is an exciting resource because it brings Atlanta into everyday campus life in a more immediate way,” says interim director and university librarian Sarah Lewin ’13.

“Since the AJC recently moved to a fully digital format, campus-wide access helps reduce barriers and makes it easier for everyone at Oglethorpe to stay connected to the city and community they live in. It’s a resource that can be used for classwork, research, or just everyday reading. We’re excited to be able to offer it alongside the New York Times and The Wall Street Journal,” said Lewin.

This new digital subscription provides Oglethorpe faculty, staff and students with more in-depth access to Atlanta. Subscribers can stay informed about the city’s politics, entertainment and sports through news coverage, exclusive subscriber-only events, podcasts and more.
