Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Oglethorpe University is a setting like no other in the South. Located in northern Atlanta on a 100-acre wooded campus, Oglethorpe University is known for its beauty and historic Gothic-revival charm. It is the perfect location for television, films, weddings, corporate events and meetings, festivals, summer camps, and more. Classrooms
Our educational facilities are spacious and perfectly outfitted for your next class or lecture. Classroom space is available in Hearst Hall, the Cousins Center, Lupton Hall, and Robinson Hall. Classrooms can accommodate 10-35 guests and come fully equipped with A/V accessibility. Computer labs house 20 desktop computer stations.
Conference rooms
Oglethorpe University offers several conference rooms that are appropriate for any business meeting and can come equipped with a laptop and projector if needed. Conference rooms can accommodate 10 – 30 guests and are available in Hearst Hall, Lupton Hall, and Turner Lynch Campus Center.
Theatres and Auditoriums
At Oglethorpe, we have auditorium spaces for any audience size. From the comfortable Earl Dolive Theater in Lowry Hall or the intimate setting of Lupton Auditorium to the expansive Conant Theater, many choices exist for your next big presentation, show, recital, or keynote speech. Auditoriums can accommodate 40 – 500 guests and have full audio and visual capabilities.
Oglethorpe University Museum of Art
The Oglethorpe University Museum of Art occupies the third floor of the Philip Weltner Library, which was opened in the spring of 1993 after extensive renovations of the previous Art Gallery (1984-1992). The Museum encompasses 7,000 square feet and offers a comfortable, intimate environment created by two spacious galleries and an inviting gift shop featuring items of beauty from around the world. The Museum has become an essential cultural addition to Atlanta’s growing art scene, drawing thousands of visitors annually. The Museum and its two art galleries are the perfect setting to host lectures, concerts, dances, art shows, and receptions. The Skylight and Rubin galleries can accommodate 80 guests each.
Athletic Facilities
Oglethorpe University offers indoor and outdoor venues to accommodate various athletic events. Our historic Hermance Stadium has been host to local and international athletic competitions. With 16 athletic teams at Oglethorpe, our facilities are the perfect location for your next baseball, basketball, tennis, volleyball, lacrosse, soccer, or track and field event. In addition to sports venues, our facilities are available for ballroom dance,
yoga, and exercise classes Oglethorpe University offers indoor and outdoor venues to accommodate various athletic events. Our historic Hermance Stadium has been host to local and international athletic

Outdoor Venues
Oglethorpe’s large academic quad is a regal setting for many informal and formal gatherings, including picnics, weddings and festivals. The original Gothic revival academic buildings that line the academic quad are on the National Register of Historic Places.
Overnight accommodations
Perfect for summer camps, Oglethorpe’s dorms provide safe,
comfortable overnight accommodations for your next event.
Overnight accommodations are available in several residence
halls and feature two and four-person suites. The two-person suite
is a one-bedroom double with an adjoining bathroom, while the
four-person suite features two bedrooms, a standard room, and a
shared bathroom. All residence halls provide vending machines, a
kitchen, a lounge, and a laundry room.

Oglethorpe University Museum of Art

Lupton Auditorium
A modern, sunlit space designed for a variety of events, including lectures, performances, and meetings. The auditorium features advanced A/V equipment, including a ceiling-mounted projector, a drop-down screen, and wall-mounted monitors, as well as a new catering kitchen and single-person restrooms.
