  • Keib, K. (2018, April) “Fake News, Real Consequences”.  Keib was the invited keynote speaker at the Oglethorpe University’s 2018 Liberal Arts & Sciences Symposium.  Keib discussed her work on understanding what users deem as credible online, how errors can be made and false or misleading information is deemed credible, and the personal responsibility all citizens have to both news information and support the work of ethical journalists.
  • Keib, K. (2017, January) “Selective Exposure and Access to Digital Media.  Keib was invited to speak to Doctoral students at the University of Georgia regarding selective exposure, defined as: “systemic bias in audience composition for a given message or medium as well as system bias in selected messages that diverges from the composition of all accessible messages” (Knobloch-Westerwick, 2015).
