Fraternities and Sororities
Greek life at Oglethorpe is about volunteering, service, and campus community.
Do good. Go Greek!
Greek life at Oglethorpe is about volunteering, service and community. When you join a fraternity or sorority, you will work with charitable organizations like Make-a-Wish, the Boys and Girls Club, volunteer at nearby food banks, tutor local kids, and run food and clothing drives. You’ll also enjoy social events like dances, road trips and theme parties.
Nationally, college students involved in Greek life earn higher GPAs and are more likely to graduate. When you join with your Greek brothers and sisters, you can help build a stronger, more welcoming Oglethorpe community.

National Panhellenic Council (NPC)
The NPC supports its women’s fraternities by promoting values, education, leadership, friendships, cooperation, and citizenship. Panhellenic means “all Greek women.” The purpose of their association through the NPC is to foster relationships between the women’s fraternities, assist collegiate chapters of the NPC member groups, and to cooperate with colleges and universities in maintaining the highest scholastic and social standards.
The 3 organizations in NPC are Chi Omega, Sigma Sigma Sigma, and Alpha Sigma Tau
Interfraternity Council
Interfraternity Council is the governing body of Oglethorpe’s NIC Fraternities: Chi Phi and Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
