A new Greek Lounge in Hearst Hall
Beginning in Fall 2026, Oglethorpe will open a dedicated Greek Lounge in Hearst Hall.
This shared space is designed to give fraternity and sorority members a place to connect, plan and build community together. The lounge will support meetings, collaboration and informal time between classes. It is a visible, central home base that reflects the importance of Greek life within the broader student experience.
Living near one another in Jobe Hall
Many fraternity and sorority members also live in close proximity in Jobe Hall.
This makes it easy for students to study together, support one another and stay connected outside of formal meetings. For students, this kind of closeness matters. It helps turn organizations into communities and classmates into lifelong friends.
