The United States Tennis Association-Georgia has awarded Oglethorpe Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach Peter Howell with the Ruth Lay Award, USTA-Georgia’s lifetime achievement award.
The recognition honors Howell’s service and outstanding accomplishments in the tennis community. He also will receive the award for The Adult Tournament of the Year for the GA State Adult/Sr. Open.
Howell has been inducted into the Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame, the USPTA-Southern Division Hall of Fame and the Georgia Professional Tennis Hall of Fame.
USTA-Georgia will host an awards ceremony and dinner on January 30, 2016 to honor all 2015 awards recipients.
