Students attend international medical fraternity convention in Chicago

Two executive members of the GA Alpha Chapter of Phi Delta Epsilon, Camila Mondesir ’25 and Keturah Mba ’25, recently attended the annual Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity International Convention.

The convention gathered medical and premedical chapters from around the world in Chicago for a three-day event focused on leadership development, medical service, and networking.

Mondesir and Mba had the opportunity to watch military medical demonstrations, attend the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, and volunteer with Project C.U.R.E.

“Out of all of the wonderful things that [we] had a chance to experience, the highlight of the weekend was meeting many wonderful people and making meaningful connections,” the two students shared on the organization’s Instagram.

The co-ed medical fraternity seeks to create future physicians of integrity with a life-long commitment to their guiding principles, which include philanthropy, deity, equity, and education.

Phi Delta Epsilon frequently hosts events and trips for members related to the medical field, such as their annual Anatomy Fashion Show and a recent trip to the David J. Sencer CDC Museum.
