As previously announced in April 2018, Dennis W. Kelly will be the new Dean of the Q. William Hammack, Jr. School of Business, starting October 15.
In addition to the new faculty members, the Oglethorpe community celebrates the following faculty promotions and appointments:
Dr. Ron Bobroff is returning as the Director of the Center for Global Education, replacing Interim Director Stephen Herschler.
Bob Burchfield is now Senior Lecturer of Accounting.
Jessica Handler was promoted to a full-time Lecturer of English.
Dr. Stephen Herschler was promoted from Associate Professor of Politics to Professor of Politics.
Dr. Peter J. Kower was promoted from Associate Professor of Economics to Professor of Economics.
Dr. Timothy Powell is now Senior Lecturer in Music.
Dr. Seema Shrikhande is the new Director of the Honors Program.
Dr. Amanda Printz Whooley was promoted from Assistant Professor of Philosophy to Associate Professor of Philosophy and granted tenure.
Dr. Iona Wynter Parks was promoted to Lecturer of French.
Dr. Leah Zinner is the new Chair of Division IV, replacing Dr. John Carton.
