Oglethorpe University is located in the Atlanta suburb of Brookhaven, minutes from the Buckhead district and 10 miles north of downtown. Atlanta is served by Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the MARTA transit system of trains and buses, and interstates I-20, I-75 and I-85.
You can take MARTA from the airport. Oglethorpe is conveniently located one mile north of the Brookhaven-Oglethorpe University MARTA train station on Peachtree Road. The Brookhaven MARTA stop is on the “Gold Line” and may require a change of trains at the Lindbergh station. Taxis and Uber are usually available, or you can transfer to the #25 bus line with stops near the main entrance of campus.
Visitor parking is located in the Jacobs Driveway (“the keyhole”) in between Lupton Hall and Hearst Hall. Enter campus at the main gates on Peachtree Road, then turn right at the roundabout. The visitor parking will be on your left, in parallel spaces along the keyhole drive.During larger events or on busy days, parking is also available in the Schmidt Recreation Center lot or the Hearst Hall lots. Visitor parking at Oglethorpe is free.
The Office of Admission is located on the first floor of Lupton Hall, beneath the clock and bell tower. Enter the double brass doors to arrive in the admission lobby.
