Our best students compete for our best scholarships.
Scholarship Weekend at Oglethorpe brings together our best and brightest admitted students. OU offers three categories of full-tuition scholarships. The OU Theatre and Civic Engagement scholarship competition will take place on Friday, January 26, 2018. The James Edward Oglethorpe (JEO) leadership scholarship competition is held on Saturday, January 27, 2018.
All students who participate will receive a renewable, annual merit award of at least $15,000!
Formal invitations will be sent via mail and email. To be considered, please apply by our Early Action deadline of November 15
At Oglethorpe, personal is powerful, and we believe in getting to know each candidate individually. The weekend will include seminars, interviews, presentations, or auditions which, in combination with your academic record of achievement, will help the scholarship committee make nominations for each award. We anticipate an attendance of over 300 students from more than 20 states, so this is a great time for you to meet potential college classmates. Parents or guests are encouraged to accompany their students to Scholarship Weekend; an array of panels and activities are offered for parents while students are in scholarship sessions. All attendees and guests are invited to a VIP Party for the Class of 2022 on Saturday evening, Jan. 27.
