Scholarship Weekend 2019

Scholarship Weekend 2019

Our best students compete for our best scholarships.

Scholarship Weekend at Oglethorpe brings together our best and brightest admitted students. OU offers three categories of full-tuition scholarships. The OU Theatre, Civic Engagement and Hammack Business scholarship competitions will take place on Friday, January 25, 2019. There are two available dates for the James Edward Oglethorpe (JEO) leadership scholarship competition. Students will choose to participate on either Saturday, January 26 or February 16.

All students who participate will receive a renewable, annual merit award of at least $18,000!

At Oglethorpe, personal is powerful, and we believe in getting to know each candidate individually. The weekend will include seminars, interviews, presentations, or auditions which, in combination with your academic record of achievement, will help the scholarship committee make nominations for each award. We anticipate an attendance of over 300 students from more than 20 states, so this is a great time for you to meet potential college classmates! Parents or guests are encouraged to accompany their students to Scholarship Weekend; an array of panels and activities are offered for parents while students are in scholarship sessions.
